Fantastic! - Robert Debowski
What is? The Ad:Tech conference of course! Fantastic place, fantastic people and all round fantastic event.
New York greeted us with balmy weather and a plethora of enthusiastic people upon our arrival on Halloween. Costumes, smiles and energy was in abundance with every person wandering around Manhattan. Spending Halloween in Times Square was unforgettable. I hope everybody gets the chance to visit and experience it for themselves. What a way to kick off our Ad:Tech conference adventure.
There was a solid sense of community spirit in the air as we arrived at the conference, perhaps bolstered by the leftover energy from the Halloween holiday. During the event I had the opportunity to meet many amazing people. I saw what wonderful ideas they wanted to implement and their phenomenal drive to have a positive impact on day-to-day life. To engage with people like this; those with a passion for their dreams and open to possibilities regarding cooperation was exactly the reason I attended the conference. People are at the core of technology. Without people willing to push the boundaries, you will never see technology that does the same.
Following the Ad:Tech event, I felt both pride and satisfaction. Pride from seeing what an innovative, committed and knowledgeable group of people can offer, and satisfaction through gaining experience through observing and listening to what is happening in the technology sector.
In summary, I’d like to say this; if ever you have the chance to attend an event such as the Ad:Tech conference, DO IT. Connections, knowledge and memories are there for the taking, as well as an in-depth insight into emerging trends and the IT zeitgeist. If that doesn’t convince you to go, then can I also add that they serve magnificent ribs and shrimp in Manhattan….
I look forward to seeing you at future events!
Great people, great atmosphere, great energy! - Marlena Kuczynska
That is how I would sum up my New York experience. Ad:Tech, one of the biggest marketing and technology conferences in the world, was on my professional ‘bucket list’ of things to do and I was finally there – NYC, ready to mingle and connect with professionals within the industry.
What did I learn? Ad:Tech helped me to better understand the direction I and my company should be heading in. There were a lot of companies with very innovative products and passionate people standing behind them. Now I know how important it is to constantly innovate, know your customer better and constantly seek improved ways of doing things to turn great ideas into realities for your customers.
Ad:Tech was the first big networking event I’ve attended. It was a great way to meet new people that are crazy about the same things as you. The atmosphere at the conferences was just amazing – nowhere else would you find such passion in the way that people speak about what they do.
Would I recommend it to others? Yes! Would I do that again? Definitely!
It's always good to try something new! - Rafal Dolzynski
Initially, I was unsure what to expect from the Ad:Tech conference. I had no experience in attending these kind of events; it was something totally new for me. It was also my first trip to the USA so I had a heady excitement and anxiety mix flowing through my veins at first!
As it turned out, Americans are really cheerful and easy-going. Of course, any networking event can be a bit awkward at first if you haven’t exercised your small talk muscles for a while, but after a stressful first day, I relaxed into it and really started enjoying myself.
After chatting with various conference participants I started to feel like I belonged and had something valuable to say to people. Hearing what other companies do, what products they create and what they are searching for gave me the opportunity to think of how we could support them and how to best present our ideas. Most of the visitors left our booth pleased, so I believe that our approach and what we can offer is on the right track to filling US market needs. That was the icing on the cake for me – I knew I was in the right place.
I was able to get new points of view, from the client side, rather than the developer’s. I found it fascinating, and although I don’t see a career for myself in sales and marketing, I would thoroughly enjoy attending similar events to expand upon my knowledge and meet some more great people. It's always good to try something new!
